VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTION
Parent Group Leader – EPEC Programme
Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) is a successful, popular and unique parenting approach. The Programme is a tried and tested method to improving the scale and effectiveness of local parenting programmes through a peer-led approach whereby the programme is delivered and led by local parents for local parents.
The EPEC courses are led by local parents (Parent Group Leaders) who will have completed the accredited EPEC training and will receive regular support from the local EPEC Hub. This will involve attending ten sessions of training and on completion of the course you will receive regular supervision to fulfil the role.
As Parent Group Leader you will directly contribute to the success of the parenting programme through achieving involvement levels and goals that could not be accomplished by other services alone.
This is an exciting opportunity to help develop new skills, build confidence and improve interpersonal skills.
